On National Coming Out Day an Equality rally was scheduled in downtown Nashville to support our LGBT brothers and sisters who were marching in Washington DC.
However the only person that attented was, Angie Schleicher, the event organiser.
She walked in front of the Metro Courthouse, on the steps facing the 2nd Ave Hill and Union St. Held her rainbow coloured sign up high and paced back and forth while an occasional car honked their support for the cause.
There were over 5,000 emails sent out to the GLBT community in preparation for the peaceful demonstration but, when it came down to it, no one showed up.
What does this say about Nashville's Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgendered population? Why would they schedule a rally and not show up?
