David Cameron, leader of the UK opposition Conservative Party, has been challenged to back up his gay friendly talk with firm policies.
The call came from lesbian and gay rights activists who say that Cameron has failed to mention any policies addressing LGBT equality. In-fact last year he voted against lesbian couples being given equal access to IVF treatment.
LGBT campaigners are calling on Cameron to make a commitment to repealing the ban on same-sex civil marriage.
Criticism has also been levelled at the Tory Party after they forged alliances with openly homophobic European fringe parties.
