Heaven, the gay nightclub in Charing Cross, will be hosting a Christmas Ball on 3 December in aid of Amnesty International, with Laura Steel as headline act.
Steel used to be a regular at Heaven and now she is looking forward to her chance at performing there. “I haven’t performed in London for quite a while so I am really excited, it’s a good event and a good cause,” she said.
Singing alongside Steel will be a new girl-group Kanel Krew, who are a favourite with boy band JLS, and House of Vida.
Gay Galz is a weekly lesbian night in Heaven, and the club will be hosting this special night to say thanks for all those who have supported them
As the night is a fundraiser Gay Galz have announced that: “Our lovely G-A-Y lesbian Staff have agreed to be part of out slave auction so whether you want a manager to fetch you drinks or your favourite bar staff to have a kiss with you under the mistletoe, you can buy them for the night.”
Steel said she won’t be taking part in the bidding but will be an avid spectator: “I will be laughing away at this.”
Laura also mentioned upcoming performances in Birmingham where she will be supporting the X-Factor finalists and a gig in Chambers, the biggest gay club in Ireland, located in Cork.
She is currently auditioning musicians in order to create a band that will perform with her on stage.
The event takes place on the 3 December from 11pm until 4am and more surprises will be announced in the next few weeks.
