New legislation by the Ugandan Parliament could see harsher penalties imposed on its Lesbian and Gay community.
The 'Anti-Homosexuality Bill' means that stricter definitions of Homosexual Behaviour may result in life-imprisonment or in certain cases, the death penalty. A new offence of 'Aggravated Homosexuality' which would include homosexual acts with a minor, could see repeat offenders sentenced to death.
Naturally LGBT activists in Uganda have condemned the 'Bill' and claim that Ugandan evangelicals are seeking to drum up support for the new legislation, which is nothing more than 'religious dogma'.
